MENSAJE COMITÉ DE SOLIDARIDAD CON CUBA DE PUERTO RICO MARCHA 29 DE OCTUBRE EN NUEVA YORK
Los próximos 2 y 3 de noviembre la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas tomará acción por trigésima ocasión sobre el proyecto de resolución titulado:
“Necesidad de poner fin al bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero impuesto por los Estados Unidos de América contra Cuba”.
Esta resolución ha recibido históricamente el respaldo casi unánime de los miembros de las Naciones Unidas, lo que constituye una muestra contundente del apoyo a la necesidad de poner fin al bloqueo contra Cuba. Asunto que el gobierno de los Estados Unidos en absoluta minoría ha vetado en la práctica.
ESE BLOQUEO CRIMINAL QUE QUIERE RENDIR POR HAMBRE Y ENFERMEDAD AL PUEBLO CUBANO LO TENEMOS QUE DERROTAR. ESE BLOQUEO ES EL ACTO DE GENOCIDIO MÁS LARGO DE LA HISTORIA.
LOS PUEBLOS REPUDIAMOS ESA POLITICA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS CONTRA CUBA Y CUALQUIER OTRO PAÍS.
El recrudecimiento del bloqueo a Cuba ha estado acompañado de un incremento de la agresión política, mediática y comunicacional; así como de un aumento inusitado de operaciones de desinformación, financiadas con fondos federales del presupuesto de los Estados Unidos.
Con esta conducta se pretende fabricar una oposición política, generar desorden e inestabilidad, quebrar el orden constitucional, el consenso social, alentar la migración irregular, así como afectar las condiciones de tranquilidad y seguridad ciudadanas en que vive el pueblo cubano.
Las medidas sobre Cuba anunciadas en mayo por el gobierno de Biden constituyen un pequeño paso de avance pero esas acciones no se refieren a los aspectos más dañinos del bloqueo, ni revierten las medidas más agresivas impuestas contra Cuba por el gobierno de Donald Trump.
Persiste la prohibición de viajar a Cuba. Y en estos tiempos se le añade la persecución e intento de criminalizar la solidaridad. Se impide la ayuda humanitaria, las relaciones comerciales y se persigue a los que intentan comerciar con Cuba.
En medio de la terrible pandemia no hubo ninguna medida de flexibilización para hacer llegar ayuda a Cuba como tampoco ante desastres naturales como lo ha sido el Huracán Ian.
Desde Puerto Rico, por ser colonia de los Estados Unidos, se trata de impedir a toda costa el intercambio con ese pueblo hermano. Se nos persigue por el FBI por visitar Cuba y hasta nos cerraron una cuenta de banco para ayudar a los afectados del trágico accidente en el Supertanquero de Matanzas. ESA ES LA DEMOCRACIA EN LOS EU.
El actual gobierno de los EE.UU. persiste el empeño de generar carencias materiales, escasez, sembrar el desaliento, la insatisfacción y provocar daños al pueblo cubano, así como obstaculizar las posibilidades de progreso económico en un escenario de grave crisis global, aumentada por la pandemia de la COVID-19.
El bloqueo hace que en Cuba todo sea más difícil e impacte áreas sensibles para la población.
En los 14 primeros meses del Gobierno de Biden los perjuicios ocasionados a Cuba alcanzaron los 6 364 millones de dólares, equivalente a una afectación de más de 454 millones de dólares mensuales y más de 15 millones de dólares diarios, superando cualquier cifra precedente.
Escuchen bien más de 15 millones de dólares diarios afecta el bloqueo a Cuba. Ahora con el mayor descaro y cinismo dicen que enviaran dos millones de supuesta ayuda por el huracán y por medio de su cortina de penetración la USAID, Más cruel y terrorista ninguno.
El bloqueo constituye una violación masiva, flagrante y sistemática de los derechos humanos de las cubanas y cubanos. Representa el sistema de medidas coercitivas unilaterales más injusto, severo y prolongado que se ha aplicado contra país alguno, y continúa siendo el principal obstáculo para el desarrollo de todas las potencialidades de la economía cubana.
EL BLOQUEO ES UN ACTO TERRORISTA Y GENOCIDA DEL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS CONTRA CUBA QUE TENEMOS QUE DERROTAR.
Los gobiernos y los pueblos han logrado dar grandes muestras de solidaridad pero tenemos que intensificarlas y hacer inoperante el bloqueo.
A CUBA LA HUMANIDAD LE DEBE GRANDES PROEZAS COMO FUE COMBATIR EL COVID, CREAR 5 VACUNAS Y AYUDAR A OTROS PAÍSES. NOS TOCA ROMPER EL BLOQUEO.
Las ayudas humanitarias son necesarias e importantes pero la lucha contra el bloqueo debe ser principal en cualquier campaña. CUBA NECESITA SE ELIMINE ESE BLOQUEO O QUE SE HAGA INOPERANTE. Los gobiernos y los pueblos lo podernos derrotar desde nuestras trincheras de lucha en cada país haciendo cada día mayores concertaciones y acciones unitarias.
La unidad entre todos los movimientos debe dar un salto cualitativo a las luchas contra el bloqueo. Acciones comunes, divulgación de información por todas las vías posibles, fortalecer las brigadas que viajan a Cuba y concertar a nivel regional y mundial fechas comunes para seguir desarrollando acciones conjuntas.
En el caso de la solidaridad en los Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico tenemos que concertar mayores desafíos al bloqueo. Por eso estamos aquí para unidos a ustedes levantar las banderas de la dignidad por Cuba, por Puerto Rico y la Humanidad.

MESSAGE FROM THE COMMITTEE OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA FROM PUERTO RICO
OCTOBER 29 MARCH IN NEW YORK
We will defeat the blockade
On November 2 and 3, the United Nations General Assembly will vote for the thirtieth time on the draft resolution entitled
"Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba."
This resolution has historically received almost unanimous support from the members of the United Nations, which is a sign of overwhelming international support for an end to the blockade against Cuba. The United States government, which is absolutely in the minority on this subject, has vetoed it in practice.
WE MUST DEFEAT THIS CRIMINAL BLOCKADE WHICH WANTS TO FORCE THE CUBAN PEOPLE TO SURRENDER DUE TO HUNGER AND ILLNESS. THIS BLOCKADE IS THE LONGEST ACT OF GENOCIDE IN HISTORY.
THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD REPUDIATE THIS POLICY OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST CUBA, AND AGAINST ANY OTHER COUNTRY AS WELL.
The hardening of the blockade against Cuba has been accompanied by an increase in political and media aggression; as well as an unusual increase in disinformation operations, financed with funds from the United States federal budget.
The intention of this conduct is to create a political opposition in Cuba, generate disorder and instability, break the constitutional order and social consensus, encourage irregular migration, and disrupt the conditions of tranquility and citizen security in which the Cuban people live.
The new measures on Cuba announced in May by the Biden administration constitute a small step forward but do not refer to the most damaging aspects of the blockade, nor do they reverse the most aggressive measures imposed against Cuba by the administration of Donald Trump.
The travel ban to Cuba persists. And in these times,they have added the persecution and attempt to criminalize solidarity. Humanitarian aid and commercial relations are prevented, and those who try to trade with Cuba are persecuted.
In the middle of the terrible pandemic there was not a single bit of flexibility in the blockade to send aid to Cuba, nor has there been in the face of natural disasters such as Hurricane Ian.
From Puerto Rico, because it is a colony of the United States, this means preventing exchanges with our sister nation at all costs. We are being persecuted by the FBI for visiting Cuba. They even closed a bank account that was used to help those affected by the tragic accident of the Matanzas Supertanker. THIS IS U.S. DEMOCRACY.
The current U.S. government persists in its efforts to generate material shortages, sow discouragement and dissatisfaction, and cause damage to the Cuban people, as well as hinder the possibilities of economic progress in a scenario of serious global crisis, which is increased by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The blockade makes everything more difficult in Cuba and impacts sensitive areas for the population.
In the first 14 months of the Biden Administration, the damage that the blockade caused in Cuba reached 6 billion, 364 million dollars, which is equivalent to more than 454 million dollars per month and more than 15 million dollars per day, exceeding any previous figure.

THE BLOCKADE IS A TERRORIST AND GENOCIDAL ACT BY THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AGAINST CUBA, THAT WE MUST DEFEAT.
The world’s governments and peoples have managed to show great signs of solidarity, but we need to intensify them and make the blockade inoperative.
HUMANITY OWES TO CUBA GREAT DEBT FOR ACHIEVEMENTS SUCH AS THE STRUGGLE AGAINST COVID, WHERE CUBA CREATEDAND SHARED 5 VACCINES AND HAS HELPED OTHER COUNTRIES TO CARE FOR THOSE AFFECTED. OUR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO BREAK THE BLOCKADE.
Humanitarian aid is necessary and important, but the fight against the blockade must be the main element in any campaign. CUBA NEEDS THIS BLOCKADE TO BE ELIMINATED OR MADE INOPERABLE. The governments and the peoples, from our trenches of struggle in each country,can defeat the blockade by coordinating each day greater agreements for united actions.
Unity among all the movements must take a qualitative leap to the struggle against the blockade. This should include common actions, dissemination of information through all possible channels, strengthening the brigades that travel to Cuba, and agreeing on common dates at the regional and world level to continue developing joint actions.
In the case of solidarity in the United States and Puerto Rico, we must coordinate greater challenges to the blockade. For this reasonwe are here today,to join you in raising the flags of dignity for Cuba, for Puerto Rico and for humanity.
