DECLARACIÓN FINAL
Los 36 delegados y delegadas de los 16 países participantes en este Primer Evento de Coordinadores de Brigadas y Grupos solidarios con Cuba en la modalidad virtual manifestamos que:
La Comisión de Coordinadores de Brigadas de la Red Continental Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Solidaridad con Cuba se compromete a continuar realizando sus reuniones de trabajo mensuales con el fin de seguir divulgando y coordinando las brigadas internacionales o subregionales de trabajo voluntario y solidaridad con Cuba, continuar perfeccionando los programas de estos proyectos solidarios, así como trabajar en la incorporación de un número mayor de brigadistas, fundamentalmente figuras jóvenes, que constituyen la principal cantera para la continuidad del trabajo solidario con Cuba.
Nos comprometemos que en todos los programas de las brigadas realicemos acciones que nos vinculen al pueblo cubano como pueden ser el Día Familiar con los CDRs, así también a discutir Proyectos de Colaboración de apoyo solidario al CIJAM, a la sede del ICAP de la Dirección de Latinoamérica y el Caribe y cualquier entidad o comunidad que entendamos lo amerite.
A través de las brigadas y grupos sociopolíticos nos proponemos:
Reconocer al heroico pueblo cubano y a su gobierno por su ejemplo de lucha, resistencia y adaptación demostrada para enfrentar las consecuencias económicas de la Pandemia y la cruel política oportunista del imperio.
Difundir la vida y obra de José Martí, Fidel Castro y Ernesto “Che” Guevara, paradigmas de las luchas emancipadoras y causas justas en América Latina y el Caribe. Así también estudiar y difundir la vida de las heroínas cubanas Mariana Grajales, Celia Sánchez Manduley, Melba Hernández, Haydee Santamaría y Vilma Espín, entre otras heroínas de la Sierra y el Llano.
Expresar nuestro incondicional apoyo y solidaridad a las familias cubanas y gobierno en su batalla y resistencia contra el injusto e ilegal bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero, impuesto por el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica por casi seis décadas.
Brindar el firme respaldo al pueblo de Cuba en su justo reclamo por la devolución inmediata del territorio ilegalmente ocupado por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos en la bahía de Guantánamo.
Continuar fortaleciendo nuestros vínculos de amistad y solidaridad en apoyo a Cuba, a las causas justas y en la lucha por la paz y la soberanía de los pueblos.
Mantener el activismo ante la escalada agresiva de los Estados Unidos contra Cuba y sus intentos de subvertir el orden político y constitucional a través de golpes blandos, utilizando operadores políticos a su servicio desde el territorio nacional y a cubanos en el exterior. Ante las campañas mediáticas y subversivas contra Cuba que prime la unidad y la permanente denuncia y respuesta.
Promover acciones de comunicación que muestren lo mejor de nuestros valores humanos, nuestras culturas, nuestra identidad y las tradiciones patrias como forma de contrarrestar el poder hegemónico de los medios que laceran constantemente la imagen de nuestros pueblos.
Apoyar y difundir las transformaciones que se vienen dando en la sociedad cubana para alcanzar un socialismo próspero y sostenible.
Resaltar la labor altruista del Contingente Internacional de Médicos Especializados en Situaciones de Desastres y Graves Epidemias “Henry Reeve”, brigadas que solo llevan esperanzas de vida y cura a todos los pueblos que en el mundo enfrentan y resisten, la pandemia COVID- 19.
Continuar divulgando el desarrollo de los cinco candidatos vacunales cubanos anti-COVID-19 en apoyo a la inmunización de la población mundial.
Hoy desde este evento expresamos nuestro compromiso de difundir por todas las vías posibles esta declaración presentada y aprobada en este I Encuentro de Coordinadores de Brigadas.

First Meeting of the Commission of Coordinators of Brigades in Solidarity with Cuba, Dedicated to the 50th anniversary of CIJAM Latin American and Caribbean Network of Solidarity with Cuba

FINAL STATEMENT
The 36 delegates from the 16 countries participating in this First (Virtual) Event of Coordinators of Brigades and Solidarity Groups with Cuba declare that: The Commission of Coordinators of Brigades of the Continental Latin American and Caribbean Network of Solidarity with Cuba commits to continue holding its monthly work meetings in order to continue disseminating and coordinating the international or subregional brigades of volunteer work and solidarity with Cuba, to continue perfecting the programs of these solidarity projects, and to continue working on the incorporation of a greater number of brigade members, particularly young people who constitute the main source for the continuity of solidarity work with Cuba. We commit ourselves in all the brigades’ programs to carry out actions that link us to the Cuban people, such as the Family Day with the Committees in Defense of the Revolution (CDR), as well as discussing Collaboration Projects of solidarity support to the CIJAM, to the ICAP headquarters of the Directorate of Latin America and the Caribbean, and any entity or community that we understand deserves it. Through the brigades and socio-political groups we propose to:
Recognize the heroic Cuban people and their government for their example of struggle, resistance, and adaptation in facing the economic consequences of the Pandemic and the cruel opportunistic policy of the empire.
Disseminate the life and work of José Martí, Fidel Castro and Ernesto "Che" Guevara, paradigms of emancipatory struggles and just causes in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, to study and share the lives of the Cuban heroines Mariana Grajales, Celia Sánchez Manduley, Melba Hernández, Haydee Santamaría and Vilma Espín, among other heroines of the Sierra and the Llano.
Express our unconditional support and solidarity to the Cuban families and government in their battle and resistance against the unjust and illegal economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States of America for almost six decades.
Provide firm support to the people of Cuba in their just claim for the immediate return of the territory illegally occupied by the United States government in Guantánamo Bay.
Continue strengthening our bonds of friendship and solidarity in support of Cuba, of just causes, and in the struggle for peace and the sovereignty of peoples.
Maintain activism in the face of the aggressive escalation of the United States against Cuba and its attempts to subvert the political and constitutional order through “soft” coups, using political operators at its service from the national territory and Cubans abroad. Given the media and subversive campaigns against Cuba, unity and permanent denunciation and response will prevail.
Promote communication actions that show the best of our human values, our cultures, our identities, and national traditions to counteract the hegemonic power of the media that constantly lacerates the image of our peoples.
Support and spread the transformations that are taking place in Cuban society to achieve a prosperous and sustainable socialism.
Highlight the altruistic work of the "Henry Reeve" International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, brigades that bring improved life expectancy and health to all the peoples in the world that face the COVID-19 pandemic.
Continue disseminating the development of the five Cuban anti-COVID-19 vaccine candidates in support of the immunization of the world population.
From today’s event forward, we express our commitment to share by all possible means this declaration, presented and approved in this First Meeting of Brigade Coordinators.
